So a big challenge was taking an animated stylised design and converting it too realism to match in with the aesthetics of the film, the AT-DP driver was that challenge as there is no realistic version.
I looked at the animated design, then looked at film used costumes for other designs and looked at how could i keep it consistent.
The AT-AT driver was a big help as that was made in the animation style so that helped work out thee major issue, what were the boots supposed to be like.
Well, looking at the animation asset i decided to make the live-action versions be like US Army WW2 cavalry boots with straps, which fits really nice as this guy is an armored crew member, so sort of mechanized caverly.
I also added more raised details on the armour to match that of the AT-AT driver seen as they are not that far off, over all its kind of a mix of the AT-ST and AT-AT driver mixed in to one which is kinda of cool.
As per i took the Bodhi Rook black series figure as my base, 3d scanned in, then made the parts around it
